Hi, Adam. You certainly captured the exquisite balance of sweet-tart (which I must enjoy, having grown up eating the eponymous candies as well as Sour Patch Kids). The Sudachi sounds enticing.

I experience trauma from over-priced mediocre macarons - more in North America than in France, where it is usually less traumatic. So I expect vicarious trauma from your upcoming review....

We have two votes in Saanich-Gulf Islands, which we would swap for an NDP or Liberal vote in a tight race elsewhere...normally we'd be voting for one of those parties, rather than Green. However, we will go Green this time around....

While I never thought of a Mont Blanc without the squiggly creme de marrons, this one does look spectacular. I never had anything at Angelina other than the chocolat chaud, so it's something else to try next time I'm there.

About 25 years ago, I lived in Paris and tried all sorts of pastries. while doing graduate work at La Sorbonne (more investigations of les macarons, les religieuses, et les tartes aux citron than la literature francaise du moyen age, I have to admit...).

Hi, Rebecca. Great post and recipe with all the major food groups: chocolate cookie crust, chocolate pudding, whipped cream, and chocolate curls. Thus, it is completely fitting for breakfast.
