How exactly did this get posted here? Some loser who thinks he knows anything about insider information?

Yeah, because the way Android implements copy/paste is outstanding. And its not sad that Android has been around for about 3 years and it still doesn't provide an elegant way to copy/paste.

And lets not forget that its still a horribly designed OS that pays no attention, what-so-ever, to little details that make huge differences when put together.

I dont think IBM is out of touch with reality, I think they understand very well what MS is trying to do with WP7 for maybe its first year, which is to cater to consumers first, business users second.

IBM predicts that in the next 3-5 years smartphones/tablets will be used primarily by businesses, and that is likely. And its also likely that MS, with Windows 8/Windows Phone 7.x, will be front and center of all of this at that point in time.

This also means that a Windows Phone 7 device will be the first smartphone in Canada that has a 4.3 inch display, believe it or not (yeah, Canada's offerings are pretty sad). Thats pretty good news because this device will probably get some special attention due to the screen and the fact that WP7 makes peoples jaws drop when they see it in person.

Please don't jump to conclusions. There is an entire group within the Windows team called the "Windows Experience" (or WEX) that forces solely on User Experience design. Microsoft knows very well and has heard loud and clear that people want a user experience designed for the form factor. And I didn't see that quote from Sinofsky anywhere else.

Disappointed in this poor journalism from WMPoweruser.

Yep, the guy who's running the engineering team in WP7 (Terry Myerson) led the Exchange team to world domination and knows all about what the enterprise needs/wants. Although it was smart for Microsoft to prioritize for the consumer for v1.0 of WP7, because most businesses are deploying Blackberrys anyways, for now.

Confidence in early sales of brand new platform doesn't mean much. Confidence in the actual product your making matters more. Did Android come running out of the gate being hugely successful? Nope, I don't think so, it took them 1.5 years to ONLY start gaining momentum.

Its amazing that WP7 has only been out for 4 weeks and everybody is screaming failure because nothing on sales has been reported, again, Google didn't even talk about Android success until far after the Droid was released, those guys went a year without saying anything on Androids success and everybody who wrote them off suddenly forget that they did so later on.

Get a grip of reality, people.

I'm sure that this isn't the final build, otherwise, MS would have made a public announcement asap.

Have absolutely no idea why people are worried about WP7 sales in the first year, The platform is brand new.

No, I personally have not used a WHS, but I get why people love it. Although unfortunately, Microsoft hardly even touts it as a consumer product or even advertises it (with Windows and Windows Live, for example).

If you wanna talk about issues that MS has, its that they sometimes dont push hard enough when it comes to products that may have great potential. The Zune players are a classic example, but the Zune is going beyond that now, as is the whole market for MP3 players. I think its all about the people running the product team, you need people who have vision and are willing to push the executives to follow through on something, the WP7 team have those kinds of people.
