End of May still looks feasible.

Hallo Marc,
ich nehme mal an, dass Du auf VirtualBox eine Windows Installation mit regulärer Lizenz betreibst, die Du auch bezahlt hast?

Hi mungo2k,
if you are in the lucky situation that your company already provides RDP accessible Windows Servers you are, well, lucky. As far as I heard from a big fan of WINE, there's a bit of a drawback for designers- in his installation, the fonts and font sizes didn't match what the Windows Internet Explorer was doing, plus it only ran IE 6 + 7. No IE 8, no IE 9 in sight. That's why we decided to go the way your company is already going.
Thanks for letting us know! Cheers,
Timon

Hi Paul, thank you for asking!
We just reworked the webpage to be sure that people understand what ie4mac really is/will be. We were getting a lot of requests and some people didn't realize it is meant to be used by designers and developers.
Now we're back to the actual technology. May still looks good, might even make it until the end of April. We'll post any info the the blog. Plus everyone who requested a beta invitation will be invited.
Cheers,
Timon

Hello everybody,
we just moved to a new domain. In the process, we lost the last 15 comments. Sorry about that. We'll look for a way to transfer them.

Hello Hiraku,
sorry, that wouldn't work, because we run ie on a Windows machine, then display it on peoples macs in real time. See also: http://ie4mac.com/en/2011/01/13/developer-spotlig...
Sorry that it won't solve your problem. Online banking at all my Banks works with plain html, css, js and pin/tan for authencitation. I'm grateful for that.

Hi,
as written in the last section of the above post, the one titled "When will IE for Mac be Ready to Test Webpages?" we expect to have this up and running for you to use in May. We might be faster than that. If so, we'll announce it here in the blog.
Cheers,
Timon

Gute Frage.

There are many ways. One easy way is, of course, to put the staging system on an internet accessible url but add password protection for all of it in apache config or .htaccess. This way you are the only one who can access it. This way is recommended since it's the easiest. Alternatively, one can connect to a staging system on a local machine or on any machine on the local network using reverse tunneling. Your Mac OS installation has a built in SSH client and our windows server are equipped with SSH server to be sure that even local staging systems without internet accessible URLs can be accessed. It's explained in this article: http://www.techrepublic.com/article/setting-up-a-...

Interesting idea. So far, you're the first one to suggest this, so I won't promise anything yet, but fiddler sure looks interesting!
