Walked out once when one speaker was listing off all the TV shows, music types and video games Christians shouldn't watch, listen to or play.

Also walked out when one preacher said 'if you are filled with the Holy Spirit you won't struggle with holiness'

In both instances, it was either walk out or throw up there and then.

I mostly just ignore it. Nobody cares if I think it's wrong anyway. In Britain we celebrate November 5th, when Guy Fawks failed to assassinate the king. Sometimes we burn effigies of him in some great big celebration of anti-catholic hate. If anything, that is a worse holiday. But I do kind of enjoy the bonfires and fireworks.....

Well, she was foreign and so there was a language barrier and that added to the awkwardness. I sat there sipping my soda. He proceeded to attempt to lead her down the Roman Road whilst she gathered up our plates and tried to leave.

So, one time a pastor took me out for lunch. It was a great meal. But for the tip, he left a five and a tract. The worst part was, the waitress picked the tip up as we were still sitting down. THEN SHE ASKED ABOUT THE TRACT.

It was hideous. I wish I had died for a little while.

They were the soundtrack to my summer.

Shame they released their ONE song with all the f-bombs as a single. It's not even the best song on the CD.

I think it's a great TV show, but I do get a little wary when Christians start taking their life lessons from it.

The 'God' episode was painful to watch, but it did include most of the major stereotypes, though until that point I find it odd that God was never a defining issue for anyone. I mean, if you're going to accurately portray a Christian character, I'd like to see some consistency in their morality.

OH WAIT. They WERE being accurate.

I've already seen Glee sermon illustrations. Anyone else?

Oh, oh wow. Hit the nail on the head.

The internet gives us new and exciting ways to spread the poison.

You ever had it where, somehow, the smaller neon sign sins look better because they're not as obvious as the big ones?

Jeez, what does that say about my heart? I don't really care that God knows, so long as everyone else doesn't?

Wow

So, when I read this the song 'slide' by Goo Goo Dolls ran through my head. What if we used that as a call to the congregation? I mean it's not that difficult a song.

Also, I always rescoot. Though is it MORE awkward to get close to someone, then move away?
