Thanks for all the great tips! I've only been to Tanzania and didn't leave enough time for a safari :( but definitely keen to get back there. I love tip #2 - I travel with my partner and I can imagine us fighting over the binoculars!

Ah wow, sounds like the best CS experience! Oh I remember spending some long hours in Cairo Intl airport freaking out about malaria infested mosquitoes and big guys with guns tracking my every move.
