I do the initial soak, then I drain the water. Add more hot water to cover, letting the soap get sudsy. Then I agitate with my hands and then take each diaper and first search for any spots that need a little work and then I just scrub the diapers like crazy by rubbing them together with my hands. After I'm done with all of the diapers and covers swish them around a bit and the I drain the water and then rinse everything under the running water, one at a time until there are no more suds. fter each one is rinsed clean I place it in the basin and then wring it out as best I can and then hang them dry (hopefully outside).
Because the flats are 1-ply they rinse really quickly. I'm guessing start to finish I use less water than I do for a single load in the washing machine (and our normal routine goes through 3 times!)- even with the running water at the end. Of course softer or harder water might makes it more difficult to get rid of suds. It's a matter of seeing what works for you.
I can handle corn- that comes out in one piece! Berries and dried fruit mean nothing but loose poops and stains at our house, I would rather keep the scrubbing to a minimum if possible this week ;)
Oh No! I actually fared better last night than I imagined (maybe even better than with my fitted!). We'll see if it was a fluke or if it really is a viable option for us. We used to use double stuffed prefolds exclusively overnight which were pretty bulletproof for us. We really struggle with microfiber in general so maybe I need to witch back. It might be bulkier but who cares overnight, right?
It was so easy- I seriously was looking through my house for something (anything!) to dye after I did my prefolds and flats I was so excited about doing it.
Ugh- I was in the same boat. Hyperemesis is no joke.
One of my twins was in the Special Care nursery at Abbott too- not for very long though, thankfully.
A FB friend had mentioned that they eradicated the dandelions from their yard by getting all the white-topped ones before they blew away and then pulling everything up. I'm hoping it works although my neighbors all have dandelions so it probably won't make a huge difference. Maybe it'll give the grass a chance to get going though. It was a lot of work though. My hands are killing me.
That is one thing I miss about Target- all the little random thingamajigs that help with little projects like these! We have zip-ties, I will keep my eyes peeled for the garden stakes in the One Spot or anything else I could hang like that. Thanks for the tip Jennifer!
The Simplex might be a good choice. That's going on my short list.
I love the Tweets print! I have it in the Capri cover.
