My daughters were big on Hello Kitty, Sylvanian Family, Barney and stuffed beanies. They had dollhouses and a collection of people and furniture which got strewn everywhere... Books were also at the top of their list... Those were the days. :-)

I get the sentiment... We used to go to holiday parties with the kids when they were little, but stopped going after a while. I prefer to spend the New Year's at home with my family... no Godiva chocolates though. ;-) Happy New Year!

I'm with you on this one. I've done the plastic thing which takes forever to put together and I've settled on fresh trees. The smell of pines alone, is worth it.

I don't have any restrictions. My daughters love manga and anime so they love music from Asia and some indie stuff. It's a different generation and we are all exposed to all sorts of music. I keep an open mind on music.
