Print resolutions for halftones is quite low (80+dpi), but for type, the "resolution" is the resolution of the particles in the ink. Pigment based inks have a particle size of around 0.1–2 µm. Dye based inks are better than that, since as they soak into paper, they actually change the color of the paper.
