What's the Difference? Those who contributed feel good that they did something. And the Red Cross is doing god knows what with the money? trading stocks, maybe? Which leaves those victims who are still in need of help, still needing help.

The decision to rebuild needs to belong to the people affected, said the Governor .... how about the views of the taxpayers who have to spend tens of billions of dollars to compensate people whose homes were built too close to the ocean, rivers or other bodies of water?

Israel was established as a REFUGE for the Jews - thas was what Zionism is about; it is not about apartheid as the Palestinians and their foolish followers (including some self-hating jews) have declared... you do recall that for centuries the Jews were mistreated, expelled from, or murdered by the governments of, other nations solely based on their religion .... To allow the non-jewish population to gain control of the government would defeat the purpose of having a Jewish State. Surely you are aware that through violence and war, the Muslims gained and now maintain control of hundreds of millions more acreage than exists in Israel....

no they haven't .... There is so much hatred among the Muslims, for their own, that they will never again take over any nation that isn't already full of them. Look at Syria ... the Jews couldn't have done more damage to that nation then the Muslim Arabs themselves.
