I think there's probably truth in both sides. Not exactly sure how one could start a charity that would create a large amount of jobs, though, and I think just leaving them to sort it out is cruel. I'd like to hear a solution that accommodated both problems, but until that is figured out, I'll chose the path that I view to be the lesser of the two evils.

Not supporting everything the fandom does isn't what makes you a cynic.

"Half of them are probably scams." is what makes you a cynic
"I don't want some jackass" " I am sick and tired of all the idiots" is what makes you a jerk.
And I don't think that not donating makes you harsh, I think saying that donating is a bad thing is what makes you harsh. If we help each other I think the world would be better off than the philosophy of "growing thick skin", that's what I'm trying to get through.

That's a very cynical and apparently baseless philosophy. You can't just disregard people whenever they want a helping hand because they will become harsh and bitter from your act of bitterness and then what's the point of living in a world filled with scorn and bitterness? Have you ever heard a child become strong from being malnourished?

I remember when the fandom was all about helping one another out and everyone was happy because of it, how can you people resort to such harshness?

I think the premise itself filters out a lot of the bad, you have to be a half open minded person to give the show a chance. Then if you reject positive morals then you probably won't enjoy the show.

I can buy it for you, if you want.

You can't get malicious infections from video files, most infections derived from pirating are lurking in programs or the website itself.

I totally agree with this logic so long as people actually pay if they like it. I know a lot of people say this but don't actually ever end up paying for something even if they enjoyed it.

If you look at the retort saying you shouldn't pirate it which has double as many up-votes, then it seems the good majority of us are not interested in pirating it.

Or they don't want to get caught. Seeding is nice, but it's really throwing yourself out there. I don't think you should pirate this, though.
