The freedom is amazing once one lets go of the past. I've only recently let go of the guilt I've felt for breaking up my marriage. It's been more than 9 years since we split. I've carried that guilt long past the time when my son's mother - my ex-wife - has forgiven me... because I felt like I should. It's been a matter of weeks since I've finally let go of it, and I am on cloud 9. I'm not even feeling guilty about not feeling guilty. :)
