I believe there are many human beings in this world who would happily give up their 'primitive genetic inheritance' if they could live in a world that was run by peaceful, rational humans who didn't see every woman as an object to be impregnated, who didn't see killing others as a deeply satisfying experience, and didn't see everything on earth as something to be exploited to make a quick buck!

I have said nothing about disposing of anyone. Perhaps it's your military background that predisposes you towards thinking that mass killing is the answer to all the world's problems!

If genetic engineering could get rid of all abnormalities in human embryos, then why not use it to tame some of our base instincts, render us more benign, more cerebral than animalistic?

Humans could do with a bit of genetic cleansing, jg. We are a motley lot at the best of times and, if we are left to our own devices, we will destroy ourselves. Is it not better to take our flaws out of the equation so there can be peace on Earth?
