+10 for the ludicrous speed reference. The game does sound like fun, but alas, I sold my Wii last year. Guess you'll have to poke me about another JRPG. :D

I know I'm just begging for people to say, oh well, she's a girl so of course she cried, but yes, I have cried during video games. In Lost Odyssey, so many of Kaim's memories were so sad, I know I cried at at least 80% of them. I had to play with a box of Kleenex handy. Oh and then there was the ending to Crisis Core. Heavy Rain jerked many tears. Even inFamous 2 got me choked up with both endings.

My two favorite stories came from Lost Odyssey and the combination of FFVII/Crisis Core. Then again, I've also loved the stories from Mass Effect enough to play both games twice.

For me, it's not as much about the violence as it is about the context. The violence in Gears of War doesn't stop me from preventing my son from playing it, because the game is about survival and good vs. evil, but the language in Gears does. It really depends on the context, and how mature I believe my son is at the time.

I did know someone in college who had a severe problem with Everquest. He dropped out of school and knocked his job hours down so he could have more time to play.
