Actually, sitting through a taping of "Jeopardy!" myself, I have to disagree with you there Chris. Trebek doesn't screw up, and there is little to no editing done to the show. Basically, what you see on TV is what you get in the studio.
I believe he said (while talking to the audience) that she receives all of the clues for the day when he gets into the studio by about 7a or so, and just reads through them as he's taking breaks for makeup and whatnot...
