One thing i'm concerned about -- Considering this is push is this going to kill the battery? Remember Android doesn't have a push server like Blackberry does for BBM.

I don't know why you feel you can't change the dock icons... i was able to just by long-tapping one of the icons and you can change it to whatever you want.
