Take it Or Leave It is based on Dutch show Kies de Kluis, I should just add at this juncture. I had a feature on it once, I'll throw it up again sometime this weekend.

To be honest, I'm not sure what offer they could make to be interesting. No-one is going to turn down a midway offer with a $100k guarantee and offering above the mean would kill the suspense in the situation. I think it just has to be accepted that an end final two like that is so very rare you might as well just let it play out.

I love that rumour, because it's completely baffling.

Basically, Will and Gemma play really well to get to the final question, question eight, with £525,000 still in play (much, much more than I wasexpecting anyone to get to the final question with, but I also think their stack of questions was easier than the other players). Question eight has only two options, but consistant with the rest of the game they must leave one trap empty - i.e., it's all or nothing. They got it wrong.

Que le Meilleur Gagne (May the Best Win! Something like that)? Started life in the UK as Everybody's Equal, was massively successful in France - basically it's proto-Millionaire.

Just a correction, that wasn't a pilot, it's the first episode of a series filming about twice a week for the next month. Probably to go out once Push the Button finishes its run.
