Maybe you should go back to school and learn how to read. I wasn't cheer-leading Germany or Japan, I was warning that perhaps calling on Germany or Japan to re-arm and provide their own defense wasn't the best idea in the world. Use your head, leftist. And by the way, 1930s/40s Japan was a Monarchy, and Nazi Germany was a Socialist state - you know, National Socialist German Worker's Party, you dummy. I know you guys want to paint them as right wing, but those aren't the facts, regardless of what revisionists in the progressive machine want to spew.
And I'd say the same thing to China about the Japanese.
Be careful what you wish for.
As I expected, you can't even back up your assertions. You are the type of person who put Jim Crow laws in place down south. After all, allowing black people to have equal protection under the law was infringing on the traditions of the South, and the sanctity of slavery and white superiority. Won't bother with more replies......perhaps I'll look for somebody a little more intelligent to chat with.
Please explain how a gay couple being married affects you personally. Not "society" as you "understand" it. You personally.
Who said that traditional marriage is "extreme"? I didn't. Gay people are a minute percentage of the population. Allowing gay people to marry is going to have no imact to your life. Preventing two people who love each other from getting married will have a huge impact on their life. Why don't you grow up. You are making a mountain out of a molehill. There are millions more bad hetero parents than there are gay married couples. Why don't you focus on something real?
It sounds as if you didn't read my post at all, jamal. I wasn't calling anybody a bigot. Far from it. I just don't want people in government passing laws that tell other people how they must live. It's none of the government's business who you love, or who you can marry. Period. A gay couple getting married isn't hurting a straight couple, or anybody else. The GOP has certain dishonest individuals in their midst who spend a lot of time telling people how bad gay marriage is, and the less intelligent among us buy into that hook line and sinker. I've had enough, and will leave if that wing of the party gets any more control. I feel the same way about other prohibited behaviors that are victim-less. Drug use, for example. Prostitution. We are in a Republic, which is designed to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority. Don't be one of those folks who only wants that to work with people you like. That's how the Democrats operate. And by the way, I'm totally against infringement of our first amendment rights also. I think Sterling is a jerk, for example, but I hope he sues the NBA and wins. Not because I agree with what he said, but because he has the right to say and think whatever he wants as a private citizen. The left loves to use this one, but only against the people they dislike. Example - Alec Baldwin has said worse than anything Sterling said, but he's still a hero to the left. So transparent.
These extreme social conservative moves to restrict the freedom of others to live their life as they want to is one of the main reasons why the GOP is having problems in national elections. Do you really want to prevent people from getting married just because they are gay? What gives you that right? Positions like these are what is driving intelligent people from the GOP. Many are moving towards being a Libertarian or Independent every day. I'm one of them.
You have a point there, Chuck. I think the problem is that many people have confused "entitlement" with "welfare'......Social Security is an entitlement, but it is not welfare. I believe SS needs to be phased out from it's current form, but there has to be a viable replacement. For people who are 40 or over, though, you really can't just chop it off.
