Definitely a fair statement. Perhaps my interpretation was a bit harsh. I know all about stirring up the post with a ridiculous headline/statement. I guess what was a bit over the top was that he came with the 1, 2 punch against Facebook related things. No doubt he has earned the right to spark controversy. Selling to Facebook is not a great strategy and in general I don't think the businesses were great successes, but I don't think the entrepreneurs are complete failures. That was the main point which I don't think may have been articulated properly here.

You don't know the whole story behind Drop.io and none of us do. However is the entrepreneur a failure? I don't think so. Sam Lessin probably has millions in Facebook stock now. While the company may have been a failure, Sam isn't. Maybe he's right, both the companies are failures, however the real thing we all want to know is whether or not the entrepreneurs are failures.
