I appreciate your comments. to clear the air I loath Obama and I don't work for the petroleum industry. But I have been involved with transportation and the automobile for the better part of 55 years. My Dad owned an EV1 , what a piece of shit, 25 miles on a charge if you didn't turn on the lights. if you weren't charging the batteries you were cleaning the terminals. Why did it go away? Simple it cost to much, didn't provide meaningful transportation and the battery up keep was ridiculous. I have more experience and knowledge about alcohol that you can imagine, extremely volital, burns without a visible flame, and is explosive, not the type of fuel you want the general public using, not to mention the cost.
Don you are not doubt one of the rare few who have their head up their ass and think they smell a rat . There is no conspiracy to stop the production of viable alternatives to oil and petroleum products except for the EPA, liberal idiots, and conspiracy fools such as yourself. If you can think of anything that can replace petroleum/gasoline for the same cost and general applicability to transportation, bring it to the market, you will be a millionaire. Instead you want to sit around flaunting crap that will never work and cry about some conspiracy to keep mankind in a bottle. Get a life!

You are reading to many Al Gore Fair Tales. Get a life. the petroleum industry would sell fairy dust if it worked and was profitable.
