Agree with El Gordo, AN is not a war movie. "Heart of Darkness" is one of the darkest, disturbing, deepest pieces of literature I've ever read, and Kurtz a very complex character. To use the Vietnam War instead of the Congo as a backdrop of AN was an ingenious move. But to think of this film as about the Vietnam War is misguiding. By reading the history of the Congo Free State gives one more appreciation of the message Conrad and Coppola are sending in these masterpieces.

I thought this brief video above wasn't so bad. Hollywood Celebs stay surrounded by people who stroke their egos constantly, so a bit of negativity is good for them. They can now take their hurt feelings back to their LA estates, ranches, and luxurious homes overseas.....flying on their personal jets.
LOL....not exactly rated 'G,' but neither is 'Vagina Dance.' But from what I've been reading about current educational problems, the kids may not know what that means. But they do figure it out....not good for the kids.
What ever happened to 'square dancing?' At least it's just a bit of skipping around, still giving the young of opposite genders to get to know one another without the use of sexual anatomic mention (or movement). I already know the problem there. It's for 'squares.'

The People's Republic of California boasts being 1/6 to 1/8 of the World Economy. So, since they're so important, let them handle it, and take it full circle by bailing themselves out. They boast wealth, elite progressive thinking, and Hollywood Celebs fighting like Robin Hoods for the 'little people.' Since they're so above us all, then there's no need for us 'low-lives' to interfere with their 'progress.'
I waited for many years to watch "Dead Man Walking," and when I did, I realized I remembered this horrible case the film is based upon. Agree, this film is a masterpiece, and sorry, Mr. Robbins, it didn't change my political views.
