Audiences today have no taste whatsoever and wouldn't know a good dramatic production or a true star if they both jumped up and bit them in their collective as(gluteus maximus)ses!
I feel sorry for Hollywood. The old studio system was the best. Now its all drugs and hype and total nonsense. The films today are throway just like the rest of our society. There are no feelings, or emotions or loyalties today, just disposable films with little or no plots to speak of, with abysmally poor acting.
Hollywood should do what GM and Toyota did; get back to basics. Film real stories with dramtic value and interest and use real actors and actresses who know their craft. Avoid sensationalism and gimmicks like the plague and just tell a good story.
Even a move like Smokey and the Bandit or the Coneheads are light years ahead of the stuff we have now! ''

Now, it's gynecological sex scenes and graphic violence so strong that even a mortician or a Medical Examiner would look away in horror....''

'' The problem with the movies today is that they are much like the popular music, they have no theme to speak of and no dramatic or literary value. Even the action sequences today are so high paced it's one hi intensity thrill after another, but that's all she wrote.
Further, the thematic material of the movies keeps getting more and more out there.
I oftern wonder if some of this stuff is either produced or written by people coming down off a cocaine high or whatever their drug of choice is at that given moment.... ''
