You knocked Kubrick off the list for the thing you criticized Spielberg for, inconsistency, yet he made the cut. Jaws is one of my all-time favorite movies — and one of the finest examples ever of how we can be manipulated by pure film. But Spielberg's only real consistency is the crazy inconsistency of his work. Hook alone should knock him off the list — and get him 5 to 10 in San Quentin.

Now that I've cleared a spot on your list, I'd like to bring up Mr. Howard Hawks. His versatility should put him close to the top. And Rio Bravo should nail it for him.

Oh, and I agree: The Conversation is the creepiest movie ever.
