I tried to figure that out a long time ago.
The ink is essentially oil, which is why WD40 works so well. 3in1 (3n1?) works well too.
I was pondering that one could potentially buy say, pen ink, and mix it with oil, and apply to the inside of the cartridge. Of course, this would only work for single color ribbons...

I note that they also mention pen ink. The best pen ink is Noodlers Fountain Pen ink due to its being pH neutral, but cheap ink might work just as well (but could corrode the print head potentially).

Huh, not sure about that one. You might try the PlayOnLinux or WINE forums, they are usually slow at resolving issues but it is free and they usually get it done.

There is no sure answer, Google\'s making a big deal out of it would probably have resulted in complaints, and their absence of a doodle resulted in complaints. Frankly, I think the ribbon was met to be a median, and I\'d like to think it worked and was more thoughtful.
Oh well.

I used to have multiple sites. There used to also be a music site, and there still is a site called \"Winfix\", which is specifically technical. Zylblog.info was the old domain, and zylstrablog.co.nr was the domain previous to that.

Sharing books is important to me as well, but it seems that these types of book-reading devices try their best to make sharing more and more difficult.

The Kno, I am very sorry to say, licensed its\' hardware to Intel. Kno was developing its\' own hardware for a very short amount of time, and a very few select lucky persons received the devices either as beta testers or the first few people who were able to buy one. The Kno could hightlight, mark with boarder-notes, and much more which is why I was so excited about this device. It is funny what takes off and what does not... I certainly hope that Intel will take and actually improve the design, while keeping the core aspects that made the Kno so innovative.
