I get the whole biking thing and you sometimes cannot be on the trail 100% of your ride. However, you cannot have the best of both worlds. Every single day bikers want the lane and want cars to go 10 mph behind them when there is oncoming traffic, but if the cars get stuck at a stop light, the bikers can cruise right by the cars and go through the red light if no cross traffic. I obviously didn't see THIS specific situation and cannot possibly know what exactly happened. I hope this woman is ok and she should be in our prayers for a solid recovery, but it is something that all of us (bikers or not) deal with every day - bikers all over the roads that cars and trucks belong on. I'm sure we are all constantly witnessing "near collisions" to/from everywhere we all go each day due to bikes cruising right down the actual road... I'm surprised it's taken this long to see something unfortunate like this happen.
The best to hope for is that he gets busted up bad by some of the other folks in prison - where he'll be spending the rest of his life. Let him live in fear every single day... Fear of just getting worked by his fellow inmates and may there be many close calls of "almost losing him" ... in which he'll return to his cell in fear, yet again, after another beat down recovery. I hope there is an even deeper place in hell where this sicko can spend eternity.
It's just amazing how you can do everything that is within your control to be safe, but that "other driver" who is making a terrible, wreckless driving decision is ultimately what leads to your fatality.
You obviously don't know anything about God or Biblical history if you are trying to use God in the same sentence as justifying gay rights.
While I still do not agree with gay marriage whatsoever, at least you are clearly acknowledging the fact that being gay is a CHOICE and you are not born that way. Tired of trying to fight that battle. So thank you for at least aligning with that truth.
Ok - I'm all for everyone getting their facts straight on this guy before making remarks that aren't factual. That makes perfect sense. But seriously, let's not begin to start passing blame on to those he chose to associate with. While he was most definitely associating with the wrong people along the way (and there is a good chance they should probably be locked up as well), he took the action to commit these crimes and should therefore be punished severely. He's not a multiple offender of jaywalking, he's a multiple robbery offender who has been displaying guns while in the act. His punishments in the juvenile system were his warning signs to get his act together and he's clearly failed to do so. This time the punishment should hammer him for quite some time.
Thankfully the time off has allowed some key injuries to improve and most of the team's legs to get fresh for the big showdown in South Florida. I have every ounce of confidence that Ferentz has this team ready to play and it truly will come down to the execution of the gameplan by the players. It's going to be a great game!
Yes, just last week I was in the mall finishing up some Christmas shopping and my sweatshirt went up in flames out of nowhere! What are they putting in the fabric these days anyway?
As much as I hope that it does affect his play, whether that's in 2010 or beyond, I don't think that this will set Tiger back as much as some people might think. He has the ability to block things out like no one else in the history of the sport when he is on the course. Unfortunately, I think if he went back out there to golf in six months, you wouldn't see a less talented or less skilled Tiger Woods. Eventually this will all blow over and some company will lower their standards to endorse him again. We all know that the PGA wants a winning Tiger to come back for the ratings alone.
I heard he is doing the halftime show at the Orange Bowl! lol
