i know i hate it also, you have to call them to cancel, mine will be deleted after the time runs out on it, but it is annoying how they try to get you to keep it, like asking if you would like to use it as a "practice account" with if you don't know it means that you points or rep on it don't count, or if we would keep it for a friend to use, who would pay money for a friend to use your account, but it only took about 10-20 min to get it all done, and hopefully it gets deactivated on the right date and there are no more problems
