I can't decide which is more frightening. The fact that these things can and do happen, or the fact that you seem to be so numb to all of it.

Let us hope that it will not come to that. Too many lives have been lost as it is.

I sure hope that Ms Billingsley is getting as much care and consideration from her government as her attacker seems to be getting from his. I wonder if all rapist or would-be-rapist who are caught in Malaysia are given this kind psychiatric attention. I'm sure having been caught and about to face the consequences of their crime, they'd be very "depressed & withdrawn" too.

"He said this was in line with Putrajaya’s plan to remove the homeless from Kuala Lumpur’s streets and added that NGOs were prohibited from feeding the homeless within a 2km-radius around the city centre’s iconic Lot 10 shopping complex."

So, the government's solution to the homeless problem is to starve them out of existence. When the BN government talked about "Rakyat Didahulukan", it makes me wonder which "rakyat" are they actually referring to.

If you were to tell me that it would snow in Malaysia, I'd find that a lot easier to believe than the Malaysian government's assurance of a 'robust judicial process'.

"Our people" do not seem to know how to behave in other people's country. If we do not show respect for other people's laws & sensitivities, do you seriously expect people to respect ours?

Yes, you're right. Apparently, now the civil servants don't have to take orders from anyone actually. Not the courts, not the attorney general and not the cabinet. They have become a law unto themselves. Malaysia truly has the most "unique" system of government in the world.

I think the Brits should keep them all there. They can't do much harm in the UK. We have more than enough of their kind to deal with here in Malaysia.
