Let me be very frank about this. If a police officer displayed excessive force on me for jay walking and there are unbiased witnesses present that can say the same thing, I will spend my savings taking down the department and the officer. I am sick and tired of our abusive police department.

Agreed on MySpace, but lumping Pandora in the same category... not sure I'd agree.

I'm not a Pandora fanboy, but they have a fairly high infiltration into many receivers, bluray players, etc and their interface is fairly straightforward for the common listener to get attached to... this is compared to Spotify (which I use and subscribe to as well) which can only be described as cumbersome to the "average" joe.

Problem is that many of those positions are minimum wage. Many people unemployed are receiving benefits higher than what they would receive if they were working minimum wage.

If you are a salaried individual, getting paid approximately $65,000 a year and you get laid off and receive unemployment, you get approximately 42% of your salary in unemployment, or $528.75 per week (before taxes), which is about $13.21 a hour. That's the reality of things.

I was at the luncheon today and it was such a honor to see her speak and come out to represent something she truly deeply cares about. She is a fantastic person. The YWCA luncheon wouldn't be the same without her.
