Elder Smith observed... Muhammad was “descended from Abraham... no doubt raised up by God...” to preach against idolatry. He sympathized with the plight of Muslims, who, like Latter-day Saints, found it difficult “to get an honest history” written about them. ... Elder Pratt ...express his admiration for Muhammad’s teachings, asserting “upon the whole, … [Muslims] have better morals and better institutions than many Christian nations.”
LDS appreciation of Mo's role in history can also be found in the 1978 First Presidency statement ... specifically mentions Mo as one of “the great religious leaders of the world” who received “a portion of God’s light” and affirms that “moral truths were given to [these leaders] by God to enlighten whole nations and to bring a higher level of understanding to individuals.”
Regardless what the left thinks of LDS - I most certainly have a problem with this.

“Everyone is invited to participate” provided they, according to the general behavior guidelines, “behave with due regard for the rights and feelings of other participants and / or spectators” and “refrain from words or behaviors which could reasonably be perceived as provocative, threatening, abusive, insulting or lewd” among other guidelines.
, , ,only to ignore/ break that contract/agreement.
As consolation, this incident and the fallout from this case illustrates this group wll likely have a much more difficult if not impossible battle to enter future parades.

out of respect to people with faiths other than Christianity, I DO have a Quran on the bookcase BESIDE my bench, and am trying to acquire a Torah, Book of Mormon, Book of Confucius and any other artifacts which those with a faith might respect). After 6 years on the bench, he's not trying very convincingly, is he?
Why didn't this 'judge' equally lecture Talaag Elbayomy for physically assaulting Ernest Perce, an act which is against the cultural norms of this country ? Why didt this 'judge' refuse to enter the video of this incident into evidence? Too many holes. Remove him from the bench immediately. I brook no alliance, however, for Perce. more . . .
