I'm inspired everyday by some of the "questionable" artists. We see their success and hear about their struggles in the music. They don't have to be perfect citizens, I don't know anyone that is. I'd rather listen to someone that is honest about him/herself...Eminem, TuPac etc. Sure we know about all the negativity, but at least their music is honest. I have more respect for them than I do for liars like Tiger Woods. People like him put on the biggest show of all. Pretending to be family oriented, while out destorying their families behind closed doors.

You're right...your opinion is your opinion. Some people choose to express their feelings, life, etc using profanity...their choice. If you don't like it, don't listen...but you have no right to judge.

Music is art and every artist has every right to express him/herself in any way they see fit. If you don't like it...don't look at it/listen to it/watch it.
" If he doesn't like it for his own children, he should witness the harm it is doing to everyone elses" His target audience isn't children...his audience is adults. If you have children listening to adult music, that is a parenting issue. It goes the same for violent video games and movies...some media is for adults only. I am sick of parents blaming the issues their children have on media...learn how to parent and you wouldn't have these problems.

It seems to be an emotional thing for you, not me. It wasn't an "absurd analogy" it was fact. I didn't go to the ER. And my guess is that in some way you and your daughter did provoke those dogs. I never once said that my dog was a person... I simply said that she was a member of my family. And if you go back and read the original posting...I said that it's time this area have a DOG beach...so that they don't have to bother people like you. So, I realize that my dog being a member of my family is a hot topic for you, but I really don't see why...

I didn't say I "liked dogs more than people" but my dog IS a member of my family. I bring her everywhere that she is accepted. If she were allowed at the grocery store, I'd bring her there too! She is more well behaved than most children I see running around. I was bit by a child once, completely unprovoked...does that mean all children should be kept at home??

Our dogs are members of our families. Some cities have dog only beaches, Chicago for example. They are fenced in and fun for dogs and their owners. I understand that not everyone wants to be around dogs at the beach, but I think it's time that a dog beach is opened locally.
