"Re-election mode" really? Seems to me we pay these bastards way too much money to keep themselves in office. I realize that it's a pipe dream and will never come to pass because we've allowed them to get by with it for way too long, but we should be requiring these leeches to put in a set number of VERIFIABLE hours each and every week on the people's business. After all believe it or not they ARE employees, not masters or kings. ALL campaigning should be done strictly on their OWN time and any public employee caught doing otherwise should be charged with theft in office. Better yet, enact term limits and I mean ONE AND DONE. If government service was once again seen as a public service instead of a way of getting rich(er) we might actually attract some folks that truly had the best interests of the country at heart. The way it is, unless you're a multi-millionaire you don't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting elected to public office and a lot of good ideas and talent goes to waste because of it. We would probably still end up electing a few crooks, thieves, and liars but we sure as hell couldn't do any worse than we already have. Even half and half would be fifty percent better than we have now.

I am in my mid 50's and I was raised to treat women with respect and dignity. Now I am told that in order to be afforded the "privilege" of taking an overpriced airplane ride I must stand idly by while an eight dollar an hour security guard fondles my wife and daughter. That day won't be coming. They can take their airplane ride and shove it up their ass. If we can't drive we won't be going. Back when I was a policeman when a female was arrested she was to be searched by a female officer or female civilian dept. employee out of the view of the general public and no male officers were to even be present. Apparently it's now OK to fondle women, in full view of the public, and humiliate and embarrass them with impunity. Any man that would stand still for that is no man at all. I both saddens and sickens me to realize that, as a country, we think so little of our women, that we have no problem allowing them to be sexually assaulted so we can get to Disneyland a day early. I can't understand a woman thinking so little of herself that she would consent to such treatment either. Without becoming too graphic I will only say that any person, man or woman, can pack enough high explosive in their body cavities to easily take a passenger jet out of the air. Drug runners have been using body cavities, going so far as to have contraband surgically implanted inside their bodies, for decades. These items will only be found by a MEDICAL x-ray or a full cavity search. I only point that out to inform the sheep that will undoubtedly write me about how important this newest invasion of our civil rights is to security that, unless they are willing to have themselves searched in one of those two manners, all the groping and pornographic scanning are good for exactly nothing. The worst part of all is that there are more than enough sheep that would be willing to be violated in that manner to keep the planes full.

Crooks, thieves, and liars to the last man and woman, both sides of the asile, Republican, Independent, and Democrat alike. Every last one needs to GO. It's true that we'll just get more of the same, good, decent people won't have anything to do with a job where the main requirement for employment is to be able to lie with a straight face. The best we can hope for is to remind these folks who they work for. At least then maybe we can get them stealing FOR us rather than FROM us.

Kruathammer has it half right in my case anyway, I'm angry at Obama and ALL Democrats as well as the Republicans and the Independents thrown in for good measure. Voting for me will be a breeze this year, I have a simple formula: If they're in, they're OUT. I don't care what they voted for or against, what lies they tell during the campaign, I don't care if they're black, white, chartruse, gay, straight, male, female, or any combination of the above. Watching the healthcare sham, credit card reform, financial reform, and all the other circuses it has become apparent that every last politician from the President to the dog catcher, both parties, are crooks, thieves, and liars to the last man and woman. It's true that we'll just vote in more of the same, it's just the way it is. Good, decent people will have nothing to do with a job whose main requirement is to be able to lie with a straight face. It's important that we send the next group of crooks, thieves, and liars a message that reads: If you screw us, you're OUT. The best we can hope for is to have them stealing FOR us rather than FROM us. It's a sad state of affairs.
