Not in that neighborhood. Probably yelling coming out of that house every day. For some reason it's considered a bad bad thing to call the cops over in that area call em on the wrong people and you wind up with missing or dead pets or stripped cars or worse. Met plenty of good people over there don't know what's wrong, why they can't take their town back. Economy I guess. Never seen a town like it, i've seen bad areas of any town or city but not a whole city/county like that and it's too bad because the physical area is actually quite nice, lots of parks, etc

I just posted on the murder suicide story that I had recently escaped from Bremerton myself...this church is a block away from where I lived!!!! I waited for the bus in front of that church many many times. I bet it was kids. I know the kids in that neighborhood and they are ALL budding hoodlums and their parents do NOT care. I lived with one of them trust me. I almost want to call the marshall myself but I've been out of area for 4 days and even a strong hunch is not proof positive. I know though, all that street needed was a big creek with 3 hillbillies in a canoe!!!

That city is in trouble, I recently escaped myself. Every day I took a bus through town at least another two business went vacant or up for sale. Of course I met a few decent people there and there are some nice homes all I can say is those people better start standing up soon...

Thank you!!!! I thought I was crazy! (I may still be) I moved there last fall, and just escaped 2 days ago....they blame it on the Navy base but I don't know....all I know is it's nearly impossible to get around on public transportation, the criminal element seems to rule, I never saw a Bremerton officer but the State Patrol comes clears out the rif raff that hangs out at the ferry dock so the working folk don't have to deal with them but that's about it and social security seems to be the new career. I learned quick never to give out cigarettes at the ferry, it was like feeding pigeons! I can't describe it in a post, but it sure is comforting to know I'm not the only one who thought it was a weird city.

I don't know that much about this case or this guy...but I DO know for a fact it is nearly impossible to get any kind of low income mental health insurance. I'm not sure why that is exactly, if anyone knows I'd like to know. Then, as far as I know you do not get the privilege of seeing one doctor, you have to go to a "facility" which is at best demeaning and demoralizing, some, people with minor issues do not want the stigma that walking into one of those places brings on so they don't get treated problem is a lot of disorders are somewhat progressive and get worse without treatment so people get worse and worse. A lot of patients are afraid the State will just "dope them up" cuckoo's nest style so they too avoid treatment. And then there is the staff at these facilities...I'm sure the Dr's and Nurses are OK, but the clerical and administrative services suck, and those people treat the majority of patients as "icky" and unworthy of basic respect, like they should just be locked up so we don't have to look at them. Trust me if you are already suffering from paranoia, you are NOT going to one of these places any time soon. Until we educate instead of discriminate against the mentally ill this is going to get much worse. A lot of the time certain minor to moderate mental disorders can be well managed with proper meds and counseling, I think the people that are willing to seek and accept genuine help should be able to with dignity and there would be more money for the hospitals to treat the severely ill so they can not harm others. If anyone knows another site to check out that might shed some light on why people treat someone with say, high blood pressure, or Crohns disease, diabetes etc. completely different than someone born with a chemical imbalance in their brain I'd sure as heck like to know too.

I don't want to start a whole rant here, but just recently do to an injury I find myself in the system myself.....I will just say this they whole system is pretty stupid...I have to declare I am "unable to work" in order to get to a doctor but the truth is if they would give me 6 months of med ins and 30-60 days to recover some minor surgery and a few temp meds would fix me right up. No wonder the state is broke. And I'm pretty sure there is some kind of manual in prision that tells convicts how to work the system. (sarcasm I don't really know anything except I'm caught in a rediculous catch 22 and I can't get up!)

My daughter also volunteers there or at least she did till she got a job. My kids both live in Everett and had an "escape artist" dog, We found ES to be very helpful and kind. She told me all kinds of good things about the place for the limited funding they have....I don't know if it's that it or the comments from dinko above that make me think there might be a little more to the story...wonder if it will ever come out? (BTW my son made the yard escape proof right away, she only caught him off gaurd once when they first moved in)

I've been the victim of one sided shock stories by Komo before so I try to be careful so tell me do you know what you say is fact or are you basing your opinion on stuff you have heard in other cases? And if you know it is true, how? I don't want your name or to out you in anyway but seriously, is this your opinion or do you know for sure?
