Yes, my experience and reactions exactly. All books used to be grist for my mill. Now, I research the author (usually the dead giveway is right on the back fly cover). I won't even have them on the shelf anymore, so previous purchases that have now been revealed in all of their progressivisms are sent on to the book dealers in the sky.
Yes, a snark here or there was ignored for years with just a crinkle of the brow. Now it is an avalanche, and we have also deleted much formerly watched TV from the DVR. No more Law and Orders. And will not watch the Criminal Minds that thought it "smart" to insert Garafalo as a character. Do they really think we will watch her prance around like a real person when we have seen and read what goes on in her mind?
Recently watched Mrs. Miniver. The scene where all the boats are heading out to Dunkirk (including Mr. Miniver)
is powerful. A time when people came together from their substance to save their "boys" and help their country.
Yes.
Does anything of that England still exist?
Is that why Herb Kohl decided to lay down his senate stick?
I bet only a fraction of those who tore upt he captial building were teachers. I bet most of them were college activists who will show up on a moments notice for a little anachy (and they're within walking distance!) And some of the same group who were bused into Obama's Tucson Memorial/Rally to scream and be rowdy for him. Remember the ones in the purple Tshirts? They are activist mercenaries. Then there were probably scores of folks who kicked themselves out of Chicago for a few days worth of hijinks.
Pretty quiet around Trinity Church those weekends.
Newt thinks he is the VOICE, and the Pied Piper, but he lives within a circle that he has created for himself. He thinks he can control the conversation when he walks into a den of someone else's making like Gregory's show. He just showed us that he cannot. And walkbacks are ugly. His walkbacks on Hannity yesterday were particularly ugly, he was walking back his comments by stepping on the shoulders of Paul Ryan. Astounding performance.
As though Bin Laden's whereabouts were the only information we were interested in getting from KSM. He was a gold mine of other information as well.
Do you notice how desperate this administration is in touting information about the raid on Bin Laden? "Look what I did!!" KSM was also caught in Pakistan, but no cameras outside that residence for weeks on end after the capture.
We also watched the whole series after the kids had flown ( in our almost dotage) I wish we could have watched it with them (rather than the dreck we did watch). Buffy was one of the first shows ever to leave one breathless at the end..."my gosh! is it over?" every episode. Best to watch in a consequtive manner because the power of the story arch builds.
Town Hall mtgs have a format. First the candidate speaks...then they take questions and stay taking questions for a surprisingly long time, (at least Republic Town Halls attended by me) really until questions peter out. She was not lead out for asking a question, she was lead out for interrupting Rep West's comments...actually not letting him even finish a sentence. And that was her intention, not getting a question asked and answered. A town hall is a give and take event. You listen to the hosts comments, then when the time is opened to the audience, get in line, raise your hand and ask a question. This person's intention was disruption and she not only disrupted Rep West, but then also anyone who had actual questions to ask of him later. When people are not being polite they do not ecrew politeness to themselves and we should stop being pushovers.
Thank you, John, for writing this article. For those of us who know next to nothing about Twitter, or how to get at these advertisers etc., this information is quite the revelation. And I am so glad that people with this ability rose up to roar at the dispicable people/entity that made a baby the focus of their pitiful/disgusting attacks: They are cowards shown by the fact they had to attack a baby because they are afraid of Sarah. We know she "fights like a girl".
