As I have posted elsewhere here, the thing I loved the most about Andrew was his willingness to act on his "allergic reaction" to BS from any source. I respected his nose for the TRUTH. Whether it serve one political bent or the other, he went after liars.

Judge a tree by it's fruit... Look at what the public schools are turning out, what they refuse to be rated on... The teacher's unions want perks and pay, pensions and insulation from review of any kind. Their product is junk. The nature of government worker unions is nothing like private sector unions. Unions in the private sector do not have the ability to help keep or ouster a private company's CEO or management if they don't "play ball".. Public Unions can finance the reelection or opposition to the folks that supervise them. An elected official is not settling a union dispute with any money other than the taxpayer's, not their own. Labor disputes in the private sector have "market will bear" restraints. Public Union disputes are what the taxpayers can pay or have borrowed in their name. The "skin" is not a part of the game in anyway like the "real world". And the difference go on and on. The NEA has clout but not shining product to point to... our kids are being screwed at least twice. First by getting a shoddy education, second by getting to pay the bill to cover the pensions and sweetheart healthcare of those who screwed them earlier, years down the line.

The debate was horrid last night. The MSM doesn't set the tone for what a political party has interest in. The republican primaries are not general elections. One would hope there are folks that see the interests of the whole country's concerns as worthwhile, but all this social issue stuff is not for the disinterested to focus the discussion on. I have seen some shameless junk in my time, but CNN took this whole debate in OBAMA"S desired realm. NOT the country's largest issues. I would have hoped all the candidates would have eventually demanded discussion of monetary concerns. There are candidates that prefer this battleground. I advise they all get a fricken grip and fight the ground of OUR choosing. Not the LEFT's ground they feel they can murder us on. When all the crap hits the fan, contraceptives, who marries who, or such, will matter little. The so called "last debate" was not the ground of the right's choosing.

Christie is a crafty fellow. Obama is a crafty fellow. Marriage is not a federal issue, and states do not have to have reciprocity if they don't want to. The people of each state can determine their handling of that which the feds don't hold sway over. The saddest deal is that we, as a country, become more and more buried under debt taken on to satisfy constituancies. Too many folks are all about self interest and not about liberty. The two are not the same. I suspect Christie is aware a gay marriage referendum would fail at the polls. So does Obama.
