Keep in mind, Don, that we lost to three teams we had absolutely no business losing to( UW, WSU, UCLA). Win those games, as we certainly should have(even one of those games), and TCU and BSU don't matter.Lose to three inferior teams, there is the real reason we're not going to a bowl game, not TCU or BSU. We didn't take care of business and have no one to blame but the coaches and players, not the AD.
Obviously I meant our AD.
Sadly, Cliff is correct. However, it needs to be said that Bobby D's practice of giving long extensions to coaches whom have not proven themselves(Jay John, LaVonda) is getting exceedingly tiresome. Riley is the latest of this illustrious group. There are times when are AD does not make the smartest moves.
Even more disgusting than the Coug game. A team not prepared at all (coaching staff, are you listening?) to play a football game. Look what Kelly has done in just 2 years and Harbaugh (with a bare cupboard) in 4. Riley and staff have had ten years. Enough said.
Totally agree. Seems this is Mr. Thomas's first year running a much more complex offense(take note Danny and Mike) down in Eugene. How's that workin' out for him? BTW, even Steve P. questioned at least one call in the WSU game as I watched part of the reply. Exact quote: "I don't understand that call."
what would make you think this jerk has a degree? He can't even spell! Two more mistakes in this latest post. As I mentioned before, he might (with a lot of help) have a GED from LaneCC.
too many people like your buddies above beaverteeth are satisfied year after year with 7-5, 8-4, etc. they consider a bunch of two and three star recruits a successful recruiting class. They are content with the state of the program and don't seem to be concerned with taking the next step as UO has done. you are pretty much dead-on, the truth is not pleasant.
Beavers have worst OL in recent memory. Big part of that is all the walk-ons that were judged not capable of being D-1 players. If they were, they would have had offers elsewhere, which they probably did at lower division schools.
Don't forget Cav is working with mostly walk ons(What's that say for our recruiting?) I'm so damn tired of these "uplifting" stories of kids going from walk on to scholarship. We seem to have more than most. A kid is a walk on because he is not a D1 athlete and no school wanted him. Cav is not a miracle worker, but he is one of the staff and bears some responsibility for not getting any lineman worthy of playing in the Pac 10. So get the hell out thereand recruit some linemen with some ability!
meant to hit reply before. Please sea(this is how you would spell it) my comment below Cliff's reply to you if you missed it. Didn't that GED you worked so hard for at LaneCC include a spelling course?
