A primary vote for Romney is a general vote for Obama, since he cannot attack Obama on issues (they have video of Romney embracing Obama's positions on almost all issues in the past) and Romney cannot out-spend Obama. So a Romney victory would be a disaster for our republic, since it represents 4 more years of Obama. Remember Mitt only won 4 states with over 50% - the nonMITT unity candidate can easily beat Mitt - as he has in 21 contests so far.

We need to support the non-MITT candidate in each state. Just because he does not have an active organization does not mean Rick can't win in TX, NC, IN, PA, ... and stop Mitt. I still prefer Rick, and here in Indiana I'm going to vote for him, and to canvass for him and to sign wave for him just like he was not out-spent by Romney with negative attack ads by, I hear, 55:1 in Milwakee market. My vote cannot be bought. Can yours?

Childhood formation:

You forgot to mention she was born in Shiraz, Iran and lived there until she was 5 yrs old. Then she lived in London for a year. Jarrett grew up speaking French and Persian. Do we have an Iranian in the White House - no her parents were Americans abroad at the time, not Iranians. But she was immersed in the culture throughout her upbringing.

I'm so glad to learn of yet another Tea Party vetting candidates and seeking out those who embrace:

Small thrifty government
Low taxes
Liberty under the Constitution
Integrity in public and private office
Inclusive, agenda driven politics
Our Godly heritage

These are folks who have the courage and initiative to step out and make their voices known. And apparently their agenda resonates with a majority of Americans. These folks will have a major impact on the upcoming election. That is what this republic is all about. -- Do your homework. Vote for what/who you believe in. -- That is why for 250 years we have had a stable and free country - ballots not bullets.

Rather than resorting to name calling, special interest politics and character assassination, lets rebuild the republic together.

Huckabee was not running for McCain. And he could say Romney kept him form getting the nomination from McCain. The same could be said for several others vying for the nomination. But Huckabee had the 2nd largest delegate count, a fiscally conservative campaign that ended in the black, and a lot of new supporters after the campaign. And his delegates were won in primaries, not caucuses. Romney was already well known. My point is, he was a creditable candidate in his own right, not simply a spoiler against Romney.

So I would like to see a thorough biographical article on Huckebee here in the future.

As a Hoosier, I greatly appreciate Mitch's strong fiscal conservatism. He has done an excellent job making our state fiscally sound and able to withstand a terrible economic climate. His recent comments on social conservatism give pause, however. Conservatism rests on a three legged stool - fiscal, social and foreign policy/defense. Mitch is very strong on fiscal, and has voted correctly on social, but does not lead there.

I would like to see a similar report on front-running Governor Mike Huckabee. IN 2008, as a complete unknown, he nearly gained the Republican nomination for President. Now he is well known. His fiscal credentials are well established by looking at his record in Arkansas after the disastrous run of Democrat governors. He quickly balanced the budget, met Federal mandates and then repeatedly reduced taxes. He also has impeccable social credentials that are well documented. I think we will see him in 2012, and would like to see a good objective bio like this one.
