Absolutely stunned!! I was stunned when I saw this on Drudge. I just can't believe it. Was he sick? What happened? Oh, God. I am so sorry for his family and for those close to him. What an enormous loss for our nation. I will be praying for those close to him for God to comfort them. I am so sorry.

You got that right. I am very concerned for the direction this country is headed. Liberals are leading America right over a cliff. Soon we will join other dung hills like Europe. We are quickly becoming a nation of children: supposedly grown people who want all the freedoms of adulthood (drinking and sex) but none of the responsibilities. They want to screw whomever and have someone else pay for the kids (or just chop the kids in pieces and throw them in the trash). They want to "move out on their own" but then expect productive adults to pay for them with social programs. We are very quickly losing what made us distinctly American: fierce self-reliance. We are becoming a nation of Euro-trash and we can thank the American left for it. They have been opposed to American values since Marx.
It's a fact that kids that age are that easily influenced. No serious person would dispute that. Why would so many cults recruit college age students? Further, professors are held up as irrefutable fountains of wisdom who can not be questioned. You can't honestly tell me that college kids, for the most part, don't just parrot the nonsense fed to them at college. Why else would so many graduating seniors think the same? How else do you explain so many people thinking that men and women are basically the same, that man's activity is causing the earth to heat up, that Israel is a bad country, that second hand smoke is more harmful than acutally smoking? Only a simpleton who spent time in college could believe such hokum.

Well, I agree that one doesn't normally view a comedian as a role model but my point is that Bill Maher cannot have a mature side. All liberals are necessarily children. He cannot be a role model to a kid he might have. He cannot inspire a decent person to improve himself. A liberal simply does not have that in their make-up. Since liberalism only appeals to the immature, Maher is of necessity also immature.
Young people up to around 25 or so don't view those you mentioned as mere comedians. Unfortunately, many young people rely of these third rate comics as sources of news. They aren't like, say, Bill Cosby or Brian Regan who are strictly comedians and actually talented.
In fact I admire Dennis Miller very much. One thing for certain is that at middle age he made such an enormous about-face. I respect him highly because of that. He is also a lot smarter than you are.
I know how you feel. I want back all the time I spent replying to someone who is emotionally still a five-year-old.
I am not hoodwinked. I am speaking from my own experience and those I know. I didn't say they spend more time speaking on morality than their own subject. I object to them speaking on topics outside of their specific paid profession at all. A biology teacher should teach biology and only biology. That person should not spend one second offering an opinion about morality. It is not their place, it is wrong and in my opinion, the more extreme examples of it should be disciplined or replaced.
Only a leftist would call the current GOP lineup a clown show, etc. It's possible you support Ron Paul in which case you are in an unfortunate category.
