The border patrol agents between the US and Canada (both US and Canadian agents) have become really unpleasant since 9/11. I think they have decided that intimidation is part of their job. It shouldn't be stressful to go through customs if you aren't hiding anything and you haven't done anything illegal.

This type of thing seems to happen with JBLM soldiers on a regular basis. I guess that is what we get now that the Army focuses its recruiting on the lowest common denominator. Sure, the majority of soldiers are still good people, but gone are the days when standards were high.

Sorry, but dying at work and dying as a result of your work are two different things. This was not a line of duty death and the State made the correct decision initially in denying these benefits.

Walk with your kid or drive them to school if you are worried about it. I'd rather dollars go into the classroom than to transportation.
