This is just proof right here that there is no rehabilitation for these predators,they're animals. The sentences for 1st time offenders of children under 12 or maybe even 16,needs to be this lengthy sentence every time. They may as well be murderers anyway because pretty much that childs life is ruined.

I do feel for the family as others have said, hindsight is 20/20 but we still have laws that were not followed and there still needs to be a charge,A child is dead here. Now if the city were to let this go,or any city,county,whatever,imagine how lax the young and older parents or any parent would probobly get if there were no consequences to irresponsiblity? This girl and her family have got to realize there is a price for this and the sooner this girl admits how awfully LAX she was and looks up as if talking to that little one and says "im sorry baby girl" instead of saying "I didnt do anything wrong,Im not guilty" the sooner she and her family could get on with life.
