thanks for your reply RC. As always talking is better than stand-offs and animosity so I agree that negotiation is a better way. I do sometimes wonder about the authenticity of the Christianity professed by the OO given that they don't seem to love their neighbours very much, far less their enemies lol, and yes, there really should be far far fewer parades .

RC you object to people denigrating SI culture, including the behaviour of the OO and marching bands. But surely if their behaviour was exemplary there would be nothing to denigrate. Is it not therefore the responsibility of the OO and the bands to conduct themselves in such a way that no possible denigration can happen? Clearly they have failed to do this.

agree totally Room505. I thought the OO was a Christian organisation. How does it demonstrate its Christianity if its actions offend, annoy and show lack of consideration to its neighbours? Isn't it meant to love them?
