I lived off I-5 and kruse way for 15 years and I'll be willing to bet that a coyote got that dog. The area has a lot of them. I've seen dozens of them over the years.

When I was a teen, I was with a friend and he sucked a bunch of helium and went into a seizure. He had two balloons and he inhaled both balloons and that's when it happened. Maybe he hyperventilated or something but he was having a seizure whether it was the gas or his breathing.

I would think the Benton's sex would be whichever sex she is registered as at the time of sentencing. So if not enough reassignment has happened yet, she is probably still registered as female.

I would guess since she is not currently incarcerated, she should be having surgery like crazy if she wants to go to a male prison. My guess is she wants to go to a woman's prison since she prefers women and probably doesn't want to have to deal with male prisoners and what they would likely do to her.

I remember this murder because I drove through the same intersection less than 15 minutes before he was killed that night. I didn't see anyone. when I saw the damage from where the victim's car ran into the pool area of the hotel the next morning, it was scary to think a few minutes could have made the difference for my own life. I hope they solve this but my guess is they will not.
