Once again, this only confirms that homosexuals in the classroom are a threat to our . . . oh, he's not?
Please don't lump us all together. I consider myself as liberal as it comes politically and I think this whole garbage plan totally sucks. It has turned me against a group of city politicians so that I won't vote for anyone who supported this. There was a lack of total information or just plain deception about the ramifications in the way this was presented to the public.I didn't notice any negative comments from people involved in the pilot rolloout, as the comments were obviously cherry-picked to put a positive spin on this..
Where does it say this teacher is unqualified?
I'm reading the instructions that arrived in my mail telling me how to deal with the new composting program and I notice it's suggested that I wash out my green bin every week. Outside. In December and January. In Portland! Which I'll need to do since I won't have much yard debris during the winter. And I'm suddenly paying more attention to my regular garbage which will now be picked up every other week and I realize I have almost no food in there now and it's still full every week. I'll need a bigger can at more cost and it will sit there for two weeks. Did the City Council lie or were they just ignorant when they told us how this new program would be less expensive as they were doing a sell job to the public? My guess is that based on the public outcry over the every-other-week pick-up of regular garbage that there will be a reversal on that aspect of the new program and pick-up will revert to every week. At additional cost. This is one of the most ill-conceived and unnecessary pet projects ever launched by a city government I have otherwise usually supported. Not this time and I will vote against any incumbent who supported this program, no matter who the opponent is.
