i want to know why we are going along with the idea that we need the government's "permission" to exercise a CREATOR-endowed, inalienable right? isn't it oxymoronic to do so?

i contend that if you can legally buy and arm as an American citizen in good standing, you can carry it on one's person. it's just that simple! gun familiarity and safety are matters of personal responsibility.
the instant background check used for determining whether or not a person is qualified to purchase a gun is the same means by which law enforcement officers can determine if someone is bearing an arm legally or not.
what if the government decides to delay or completely ignore requests for their permission? it, already, can take three months or MORE to get it! what good is that to someone whose life has been threatened?
i'd like to know if anyone else agrees or not.
