Just more of the same East coast and Chicago style mob thug antics from one of the entrenched labor unions. What do you expect? Replace the term ILWU in the article with the words "Genovese Crime Family" or "Gambino Crime Family" and it reads just like any other strongarm mob tactic from the 50's or 60's. After all-the mob helped build the Teamsters Union-so naturally when the union feels threatened it will use thug tactics to force what it wants. Longshoremen have a long history of violence in the past. Now that Hoffa is making speeches urging his "Army" to march-he has written a blank check to his rank and file to riot. I think some of them would rather riot than work. We can probably expect more of the same.

A pleasurable trip on public transportation is a thing of the past. Long gone are the days when you could stroll the upper weather deck of the ferry and take in the sights. Long gone are also the days when you could board an airplane without experiencing an alien-close-encounter-style probing before you get on a plane. Maybe in the future, we will all just be strapped into total body restraints for the entire trip so we won't be able to move at all. That way we will all be totally "safe".

"The Deputy" will be found to be not at fault because Law enforcement is secretly somehow above the law the rest of us have to abide. Then in a few months he will quit the Sherriffs Dept "on his own accord" because none of his fellow officers will want to work with him ever again.
