Smoking crack is a VERY bad habit, and I am aware that East Spencer is crack-infested; however, we must be sensitive to the fact that someone has lost their home. We must not automatically assume that because someone resides in East Spencer that they deal crack or is crack addicted. I just pray that the family is okay, and that they're blessed with safe and comfortable shelter.
I never could understand how an individual could ever hurt an innocent child. What can a 3 month old do to you that would make you get that mad and enraged to the point where you would fracture their skull. Its sickening to even think about. Obviously, this person has some unresolved psychological issues that needs some professional attention, along with rehabilitation in prison!
I'm not narrow-minded at all, I'm speaking facts. And I KNOW that racism still exists. Yes, I feel racism as I go throughout life, I've experienced it while discussing this article (read certain comments posted)....My world is not at all pitiful; irrespective of anyone's opinion of me personally, or my race in general does not stop me from living my life. You can call me narrow-minded or whatever it is you think fits but that doesn't change the fact that racism still exists in the United States of America. I love and embrace all races, I don't feel any bitterness towards races that I feel shows racial prejudice; however, I am aware of it. There is no way that you can honestly say that racism is dead!
Well, just go ask your "dear black friends" if they feel that they're treated fairly in this country (don't just assume it). I have NEVER been in trouble with the law, with the exception of traffic violations. I have earned a degree, I do not sell drugs, rob, steal or kill, "I live my life the right way" and I still feel that often times I am targeted and not treated fairly because of my skin color. Trust me racism still exists in 2009, don't be ignorant to this fact.
I never said that it was because of the economy, I said that it possibly could be the reason, no one knows! If he had a possession charge 7 years ago, I'm sorry to hear about that, but it should have no bearing on the current case. Hopefully, the D.A. is fair and these individuals get the help that they need!
Yes, abstinence has always been the only birth control method that's 100%. Obviously, she chose to have sex, and she got pregnant 24 years ago, and there's nothing we can do to change that. Lets deal with the issue at hand!
Clearly, I said "NOT AS POPULAR" and not as accessible as they are today. My point is nowadays girls can go to the doctor, or health department without the knowledge of their parents and without any shame or guilt and get these things. Also, there is a whole New generation of birth control methods that they can choose from today in 2009. Things has changed since 1985, you have to admit it!
I'm sorry but this is my only screen name...........But I only brought up race because someone else did in an earlier post, but I don't have to pull the race card or make any excuses. Their choice to have drugs in the house has nothing to do with race. And just because you're black absolutely DOES mean you're treated unfairly in this country (its not a pity party), and if you're of another race and can't fathom that, just take my word for it!
Blacks are always the one's getting caught dealing drugs because they are always the main ones being negatively targeted in this country; though, it does not make it right what they're doing. But, please believe me blacks is not the only ones that deal drugs, and are not the ones transporting some drugs in particular into this country or cooking certain drugs up in a lab at their house. This situation is not a matter of race, these two individuals obviously made a mistake, and will suffer the consequences that comes along with this type of crime. But, don't think for one second that blacks are the only ones engaging in this type of careless behavior, and is by no means the majority of drug dealers. There is absolutely no reliable, unbiased statistics that can back your claim!!!
You're absolutely right there is no excuse for this, but it angers me when people act as if blacks are the only ones doing this crap, so I feel a need to defend them!!!
