Personally I don't think the Bible needs the protection of the law (or of the DUP), and I don't see any politician's role as defender of the faith. Prince Charles has that one covered.... :P
I understand the DUP's motives for what they are doing, but if we take the Bible as the divine, inspired word of God, then I don't think any play can change that.
Some people will take offense at it, others will find it funny. Fine.
It's a fair point that a similar play about the Koran in a muslim country wouldn't be tolerated, but is that the kind of country we see ourselves as?

We can rant and rave all day about lowlife racist scum and their simpleton logic, but is anything being done to educate and open up the minds of aforementioned lowlife racist scum? Seems to me that the adults perpetuate the myth that foreigners = come here, steal our jobs, take our wimmen. But it's the kids who hear (and naturally believe) this tripe who throw the bricks. It shouldn't be too late to change the attitudes of kids if the "system" would put such an initiative in place. Buggered if I know how, but surely Northern Ireland has had plenty of practice at this type of thing.
Ah, sorry folks... I forgot it was Northern Ireland we were talking about. I take it all back... maybe there is no hope until we can persuade some higher quality politicians to immigrate here.
