Plus, they're due for a World Series victory. It's every six years like clockwork, right? 1997, 2003, 2009. On the bright side, though, we should be able to pick up some of their young talent at this offseason's garage sale for cheap!!

Word is the new Mets Museum will feature tributes to famous Met greats like Roy Campanella, Don Drysdale, Sandy Koufax, Duke Snider, president Branch Rickey, and of course, Jackie Robinson (although there are rumblings that the views of the Drysdale and Koufax statues will be partially obstructed).

Drainage is pretty good, but to bring a little of the Shea magic to Citi they graded the field so water pools behind shortstop and in shallow right. (kidding, kidding, I'm sure it's fine)

The baseball season is like a movie I'm really excited to see. The early workouts are like the commercials playing right after I sit down, kind of annoying, but I'm glad I got to the theater on time and got a seat. Spring training games are like the trailers, a bit of a tease, but enough to get me excited, even though by the end of them I'm like, "okay, enough already, get on with it." Well, the lights have finally dimmed, and this game is the Paramount logo. So excited.... It's almost here...

True, true. But there's nothing like sitting in my recliner watching a game in HD on the big screen. Still, I guess I can't really complain since things are so much easier for people outside their team's area nowadays.

Come on, weather! As a displaced Mets fan living in Boston, I was/am looking forward to actually getting to watch a game on TV tonight. I can only take so much of all Sox all the time up here! At least I have Metsblog...

Sorry for the double post.

EDIT: Sweet, I was able to delete the double post, and then edit this one to celebrate it. Hooray for Comments Section progress!

Well, I think this is a step backwards, but if it happens, it happens. I'm not a fan of his, but he can win me over if he assumes the role of quiet, steady, veteran presence and RH power bat off the bench. Otherwise I guess I'll just have to go into "laundry mode" (i.e. rooting for shirts instead of people) whenever he's in the game. Monday can't get here soon enough (never thought I'd be saying THAT on a Friday!)
