And I'm talking about arabs in dubai whom I've witnessed firsthand, who sleep for most part of the day and it's not uncommon to find most people party at night during ramadan which is not 75% of the population. In UAE, the residents are 20% of the whole populations and 80% expatriates who are not necessarily muslims.
People work in 50 deg celsius and everyday people are admitted to hospital cos of dehydration. You are totally missing my point. I am not talking about general muslim population but the rule which discriminates others basic human rights

If you call this brainwashing, then everything you've learnt since childhood is brainwashing:) But that's not the case, you gotta give a viewpoint of everything and it's your choice to decide what's right

"What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof. "
- Christopher Hitchens
I will give a summary of the debate;
The arguments that stood out for god clause; the usual infinity, morality, intelligent design, purpose of life and your previous ought argument as well can be extrapolated. And for christianity; resurrection, claims of historical evidence, miracles, bible and its thelogical beliefs being able to answer our questions in life.
The infinity question is a valid argument. As engineering majors, we do have derived definite solutions for infinite series. Since science does not have a solution now, it can be cited for an existence of god.
we've discussed the other arguments, and about how morality is consistent with the survival of species. Mr.Craig claims that it is something innate within us and goes on to say that the possibility of evolution is a miracle. Well, the scientists definitely don't think so and though there are some doubts on various specifics of evolution, it is stated as a fact.
About the theological part, the debate itself ended in favour of faith. If you can have faith as to live this life crippled, in poverty, with diseases, war, ethnic fights, child mortality and still say that god wants this to happen; I totally will respect your faith. Since I am not able to comprehend things this way, I seek the answer by disbelief.
And the other historical evidence and resurrection attributed along with it are bogus. Talk to a muslim and he will give you historical facts for jesus. Only this time totally different based on Quran.
P.S. : You must understand that I'm trying to provide arguments for atheism not because I want it to be. I'm trying to do my little research by reading history and drawing conclusions and not looking to offend people.
You still havent' given me answer for my christian bible question. The bible is totally contradictory to our moral arguments and you still have to give a reason for your belief other than your childhood indoctrination. You too can look for god, as by your arguments. But I must say old testament is one of the most ludicrous things I've read.
