Fans in Seattle do want another team or two. Clearly these financial "experts" are not fans. They probably sit in their counting houses all day counting money and foreclosing on mortgages.

Bryan Johnson, I commend you for writing this article and showing what idiots the "leaders" of Seattle really are.

This quote says it all:

Chris Hansen, for his part, believes questions have been answered. Seattle has fans. Seattle wants the Sonics. Traffic questions have been answered.

But this is Seattle. Probably the only place where if someone wants to spend hundreds of millions of his own dollars, there will be hearings, after hearings, before planning meetings, environmental impact studies, and SEPA compliance.

When the Sonics were in town did that take away support from the Mariners and Seahawks? I bet it didn't. I hardly think a Sonics game in January would effect support for the Mariners in May or the Seahawks in October.

You can always let Romney outsource your job to India and put the money saved into his Cayman Islands account if you'd like.

You're right! There are a ton of jobs that don't require degrees. burger flipper, retail cashier, grocery store night crew, not to mention all those manufacturing and construction jobs that aren't there. If you are lucky and fall into a line of nepotism or would like one of these jobs by all means don't get a degree.

If you want a job with potential though you're most likely going to need a degree, an internship and excellent networking skills.

Best actor out there. Whether it's Moneyball, Along Came Polly, Doubt, Capote or The Big Lebowski he's always awesome. Can't wait to see him in Catching Fire / Mockingjay.

I hope Ed Troyer is paid well, that guy has a really crappy job ... always in the news ... always explaining some horrific crime scenes.

I could make the same argument for anything and everything you spend your money on. How is spending money on the entertainment things in your life any more beneficial to the economy than spending it on something else?

I want to know why you think your entertainment dollar is more important and beneficial to the economy than someone who would choose to spend it at a basketball game?

Think of your favorite place to spend entertainment money. Couldn't we just get rid of that place? You would just spend it somewhere else anyway.

Actually, isn't Lance a synonym for P***s. Is that why you're so insecure with your sexuality that you have to take it out on everybody else so you feel better about yourself?

When I said limited budget I was talking about an individual with their entertainment budget, not the city. Are you even thinking about the economic benefit to nearby businesses? Look at how much lower Queen Anne businesses have suffered since the Sonics left.
