Thanks for replying and some great insight once again. I would love to think there would be an opportunity to build our own fibre network, maybe, one day ;-)

As to my main issue - I think it is a combnation of throttling, old lines, and distance from the exchange. The other thing is price - £30 for a 4Mb service is daylight robbery - if it was £15, I would have less complaints.

The Air is purely mobile, MacPro for any heavy stuff, but I spend most of my time using web apps and email etc. It seems pretty snappy to be fair and perfect for travelling.
