I think this is the most revealing post on topic. I too am in the same boat. I was just the miserable, unproductive member of society in my family. I can't agree with you more about the medicating/self-medicating aspect. Drugs can be an amazing thing provided we use them responsibly and adhere to the intended prescription. I believe chasing after a feeling is the destructive force. I encourage you to love more and know that it makes all the difference. Healing isn't out of the question and drugs still may be necessary but your sibling must make the proper healthy choice to allow someone within the home to control and distribute so that abuse is not an option.
